I’ve fallen behind on these. Today my end goal was South Whidbey State Park, but that turned out to be better for my legs than my camera. It turns out a side trip to La Conner yielded far better pictures.
I’m enough out of shape that walking the perimeter of South Whidbey was a good use of my time, but I don’t have too many pictures to show for it.

It’s not yet tulip season, but the tourist influx is getting birds ready for it. I still don’t have as good of a handle on it as I should, but I’m getting better at getting pictures of birds in flight. The undisputed shots of the day are of seagulls flying overhead.

While not as visually impressive, I also saw some pigeons lining up.

The Rainbow Bridge is still itself too. I ventured out that direction, but it turns out pedestrians are not allowed on the bridge itself.

I also stopped by Joseph Whidbey State Park, but have yet to figure out a good shot there. (Maybe I just need to trust a kit lens on the waves, but the tide wasn’t quite right.) Here, I believe I can see a small section of Anacortes is in the distance.

For reference, here’s a shot of (what I think is) the same area from Anacortes’ Washington Park from an earlier trip (before this site was started).
