Day Trip: Friday Extra

This Friday, work took me out to the San Juans. The actual work was easy, but I’m not supposed to write about it. Nevertheless, I did get quite a bit of time near and out on the water. The main limiting factor was I got tired a bit too easily after waking up early.

The day started and ended cloudy, but in the afternoon there was intense light that highlighted what it could reach.

When I pack a camera along with me to work, I try to take kit I am willing to risk. Much of my skill has been honed by the DSLR I took, but I am becoming too reliant on what mirrorless cameras bring to the table. Nevertheless, the EF-S 24mmf/2.8’s splendor still shines through my growing complacency when faced with the right situation.

After work and a change of kit, I was encouraged to run out and see the sunset. I was still a little late to my choice of viewpoint, but still managed to catch a good view. Had I been just a little earlier, the water would have had a surreal gamut of color of yellows and pinks glimmering.
